the field of agricultural and rural business
software.
‘Cash Plus’ combines two of our most
successful programs ‘Cashbook’ and ‘Cashflow’ which
are widely used throughout the UK and overseas. This
combination of programs creates a powerful new
linkage for monitoring and controlling the business.
In addition, we have added a completely new
enterprise costing facility. Traditionally, this is
a laborious exercise after the year end but we have
designed an unique method of allocating costs which
means it is easy to undertake and is always up to
date. The enterprise analysis shows how different
parts of the business are performing - an essential
aid for improving profitability.
Why Cash Plus?
By cash we mean cheques, standing orders, electronic
banking etc. In fact all types of money with the
term ‘cash’ referring to the date the transaction is
settled. This is either the same day or close to the
date on the bank statement. It is the simplest
approach and is exactly equivalent to cash flow. The
expression ‘cash is king’ still holds good!
What does Cash Plus do?
It is based on straightforward cash books with full
bank reconciliation and automatic VAT reports. It
shows customer or supplier transactions and
individual allocation totals over any period
selected. Being designed for agriculture and
horticulture means it effectively handles livestock
numbers, crop tonnages and contra accounts.
During the year, there are a full range of
management reports comparing actual and forecast
figures both monthly and to date. At any time of
year, a profit estimate can be calculated and
enterprises analysed.
Another huge advantage to the system is that any
number of bank accounts and businesses can be run on
just one program! It is also very suitable for many
non-agricultural businesses.
What doesn’t Cash Plus do?
We don’t offer nominal ledgers, trial
balances, fixed asset schedules, stock control, year
end closedown procedures, code lists, extra modules
and expensive training.
If you want these, there are plenty of systems on
the market but we believe that over 95% of UK farms
and small rural businesses don’t need this level of
complication and expense.
How is Cash Plus so different?
Most bookkeeping and accounting systems are
basically similar; by contrast, we have evolved a
completely different approach based on ease of
operation and practicality without any compromise on
accuracy. Our priorities are:
* Simple principles - you can track every
transaction right through the system. There is no
mystery - you don’t enter a screen, press a button
and wonder where it’s gone! You can see a whole
month’s transactions on one screen.
* Easy operation - because the initial entry mirrors
a manual cash book it is instantly recognisable and
requires no specialist training. There is no need to
use codings - just whatever headings suit you. It
couldn’t be easier or quicker.
* Well laid out reports - so many systems produce
muddled and lengthy reports. Ours are designed for
an A4 page and we simply divide income and
expenditure into its two essential elements -
trading (profit/loss) and non-trading
(capital/tax/private). The whole business is
summarised in 2½ pages per month. Other more
detailed reports are available when required.
* Accountant approval - our system is popular
because it has a full audit check (so everything is
proved to balance) but we do not attempt to replace
accountants by trying to calculate depreciation or
operate fixed asset schedules.
* Cost effectiveness - the initial cost of our
software is very modest and offers exceptionally
good value compared to the alternatives. There are
also big savings on the annual costs.
When can I change to Cash Plus?
At any time - there is no necessity to wait to the
end of the financial year.
Will it run on my computer?
Cash Plus will run on any computer with Windows
7, Vista, XP or 2000.
What will it cost?
Cash Plus starts at £295 for small farms and
businesses with the main version at £595. We even
offer an annual rental with no initial capital cost!
For annual software maintenance, including telephone
support and updates, costs just £125 (£95 for the
lite version). This reflects the simplicity of our
approach.
